Beaujolais Nouveau Dinner
Thursday 19 November
£55
“Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!”... join us to celebrate the release-day of the new season's Beaujolais!
Each year, on the third Thursday of November, the new Beaujolais is officially released and celebrated - under French law this wine cannot be sold or served anywhere in the world until one minute past midnight on Wednesday night.
The wine itself is fermented for just a few weeks and bottled immediately after harvest, meaning it is intended to be drunk fresh and young rather than aged. According to tradition it's a wine suitable for breakfast as well as supper! Bright, light and fruity it is made from Gamay grapes and grown in the Beaujolais region, just south of Burgundy.
Wild Gorse Kitchen will be celebrating by hosting an informal supper club on the evening of Thursday 19th November! Bring a group and enjoy a French menu created by our in-house chef. We will be seated in celebration, feasting-style at refectory tables and service will start according to your booked time slot - informal and fresh, just like the wine!
If you don’t enjoy red wine or are driving, we can offer an alcohol-free alternative and the bar will be open as usual serving our house wines and draft beer.
If you’re joining us for lunch that day, the Beaujolais will be available by the glass and we'll have special charcuterie/cheese boards available to order too.
